We are registered to accept the three and four year old, Early Years Funding, and your child will be eligible from the term after their third birthday. Government funding is intended to cover the cost to deliver 15 or 30 hours a week of free, high quality, flexible childcare only. It is not intended to cover the cost of meals, consumables, additional hours or additional services.
When your child is eligible to receive the funding, we will ask you to fill in a claim form, which will be used to claim the funding for your child’s place from Norfolk County Council. Further details on the Early Years Funding can be found in the information leaflet provided in our welcome pack, and on the Norfolk County Council website.
The extended entitlement of 30 hours of free childcare is subject to parents meeting certain national criteria. A code is issued by HMRC to confirm eligibility, and in order to be able to claim the additional funding, this code must be provided to us. Parents must reconfirm eligibility every three months. For further information please visit the Government website www.childcarechoices.gov.uk.
We are also registered to accept children for the two years old, Early Years Funding scheme. Letters from the Local Authority are sent out termly to parents whose child is eligible. You can also find out if you are eligible by visiting the Family Information Service (FIS) website at www.norfolk.gov.uk/fis or by calling the FIS on 0344 800 8020.
